Camera Ready Cosmetics

Since receiving some money for the holidays, I have been on the hunt for a good makeup website which provides quality at a good price. After some searching, I found Camera Ready Cosmetics. They offer brands such as Ben Nye, Mehron, and Graftobian. A majority of this website is best for artists dealing with TV makeup, film, or SFX. Many of the cosmetics, though, can be used on a daily basis. Here, I will go over my most recent order from Camera Ready Cosmetics.

Mehron Celebre Pro HD Cream Foundation
I mostly came to Camera Ready Cosmetics for a new foundation. I needed full coverage and I was on the hunt for one that matches my very pale skin. I came across this one. I’d heard of Mehron Cosmetics before from many SFX Youtubers and had not idea they made every day makeup. Turns out, I read the description and this is more for theatrical makeup due to its coverage and long-lasting nature. I decided to buy it because it was only $10 for a good pot size. When I tried it, the texture was buttery as it made contact with the skin, allowing a very smooth and build-able application. I was in love right away. Surprisingly, it was a tad too light for me, but once I put my Ben Nye powder over top, it added the color I needed on top for the perfect shade. The only downside to this product is that any dry patch that you have on your skin will show a few hours into wearing (and I have oily skin) so exfoliate well. You may also need to touch up about 6 hour into wearing it, as it begins to separate as your skin creates its natural oils. I also suggest a good primer underneath so your pores don’t mess up the smooth finish of this foundation. Other than that, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a wide range of shades and full coverage. I will be repurchasing this and tweaking my routine so that I can get longer wear.

I was also running out of my Tarte Amazonian Clay Powder, so I figured I’d finally purchase one of Ben Nye’s luxurious powders, which is talked about all the time amongst beauty bloggers, makeup artists, etc. I must say, I was not disappointed. They have a few different shades (including translucent) that’ll match any skin tone. This powder does a great job and I am glad I purchased it from Camera Ready Cosmetics. This is also a future repurchase for me.

OCC Lip Tars have been on my list of must-haves for forever. They are a matte liquid lipstick when used in very small amounts (like, dab-it-on kind of amount). The smallest amount leaves a super pigmented color behind that you will not be disappointed with. When layered or used in larger amounts, you can have a glossy finish. The only downside to this product is that it tends to feather and bleed, so a lip pencil is a must. Other than that, this product is fantastic.

Grade: A-

I was very impressed with my first order from Camera Ready Cosmetics. I plan on ordering from them again. It even says somewhere on their website that they hand-pick products for their quality, which I think is fantastic. They offer so many services for pro’s and students and for the average customer.

Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever used any of these products before or if you have ordered from Camera Ready Cosmetics, what you thought of them, etc. I’d love to hear more from you guys Image may be NSFW.
