For those of you that do your nails regularly, you probably know the brand Kiss. They make nail polish, acrylics supplies, and anything else you might need for your nails, but did you know that they also have a cosmetics line? Me neither. This weekend, I was walking through town and found a beauty supplies store and decided to go in. One of the first things I saw were these bright matte lipsticks by Kiss. They were only $2.99 each. I decided to buy one, Graylite, to see if I liked them. And oh, I did.
Swatches
I decided to go back to the beauty store yesterday to pick out the other colors that caught my eye and I will probably be buying the rest of them. For people like me who live on a budget, but love bright matte lipsticks, these are for you. I swear, I think I found a gold mine.

Graylite, Spicy Brown, Purple Affair, Navy Fleet, and Blackism
Graylite
This shade is straight stone-gray. This is one of the smoothest applying of the lippies that I bought and the first one, as well. It is totally opaque, doesn’t budge, and everything you could want from a gray lipstick. It looks great with a black or plum liner.
Spicy Brown
If you like the 90’s look or just like brown lipstick, this is the perfect shade for you. It is a perfect rustic brown for any grungy look and instantly turns any average look to one ready for Thanksgiving and falling leaves and sweater weather.

Purple Affair
This was probably the only of the 5 lipsticks that I bought that I was actually a bit disappointed with. It came looking like a very nice vampy purple, but it came out much later. As much as I tried to build it up, the application was a bit patchy. I think it would look much better with some sort of lip liner base underneath.
Navy Fleet
I have been searching the internet for the perfect blue. I can’t afford Jeffree Star’s liquid lipsticks, so I was in a bit of a predicament. When I saw this color for $2.99, I flipped and immediately purchased. The application of this one was perfect and so opaque and is the most beautiful navy blue you’ll ever see. I definitely recommend this to my more adventurous readers.
Blackism
I lied when I said Purple Affair was the only one I was disappointed with. I have also been searching for the perfect black lipstick, but this definitely was not it. I like the one I made myself a bit more, as it is much less sheer than this. I found Blackism was very patchy and did not sit very well. I am going to see what it looks like with a liner.
Overall, these are definitely great lipsticks for beginners, people on a budget, and people who want to try wearing bright colors. For $2.99 these are a steal. I actually plan on going back again to buy Mojito Lovers, Lavenderism, and Aquatic Blue.
Thanks for reading!
